TROOPS OPEN FIRE ON GIRL
	The Sinhalese army at a sentry point in Batticaloa town opened fire on
	a Tamil girl picking flowers. The girl, Vijayaluxmy Nagaratnam was
	badly injured and has been admitted to the general hospital.
	
SOLDIERS KILL MENTAL PATIENT
	A  mentally ill Tamil person from the Batticaloa mental hospital was
	shot dead by the Sinhalese army as he tried to jump over a wall. The
	man was 20 years old.

TEEDOR ANNOUNCES LARGE RICE PRODUCTION
	TEEDOR has announced that 2200 acres of rice production took place in
	Puthukudiyiruppu AGA division and Karai Kurichi AGA division. This
	amount beats last year's levels.

LTTE CASUALITIES
	LTTE Captain Bavan, died on Monday and was buried on Thursday in the
	national heroes burial grounds at Visvamadu.
	
	LTTE major Elavarasan died on Tuesday in an unexpected clash with the
	Sinhalese forces in Vathiri (Jaffna)
